Celebrating 2013

Hello amazing friends!

As one who loves to celebrate I could not resist taking a moment to celebrate my absolutely epic 2013.
It was a year that brought me such learning, challenge + ultimately joy in many areas of my life, personal to professional.  You have shared in much of it with me and it all started here about a year ago, after my dear friend April O'Peel taught me "everything about the internet" in exchange for me making her a beluga whale costume.

This gave me the ability to express my internal world into a digital format that has profoundly shifted my life.  This ability to share what I create seems to have unleashed a creative waterfall in me + I find myself in a constant loop of inspiration, creation + sharing.  I intend this to all be in the service of helping others

With that in mind, I focused on creating + sharing only what truly lit me up and made me feel a whole body nummy yes.  As Danielle Laporte says in The Desire Map, 
"It's supposed to feel good." 


Using pleasure + desire as a guide post, I now present to you my top 3 squeep-worthy happenings of 2013:

Integrating my artist self with my palliative care nurse self =

in the form of a book, blog + manifesto
My intention is to inspire resonant reflections and honest, courageous conversations about experiences related to death and dying.

TWO:

Entrepeneurial Adventure Begins

This quote is from Kahlil Gibran's passage On Work.  I quoted it in the hardest resignation letter I have ever composed + I use it as a guidepost to craft my right livelihood.  I never thought I would ever have a desire to be an entrepreneur, much preferring the perceived security of a regular J-O-B.  The Universe just loves to surprise our best laid plans though, doesn't she?


And surprise she did :)
Entrepreneurial adventures began with starting a small cranial sacral therapy practice in my a new, tiny, home-based magic studio.

They continued with my intrepid, wonder-filled forray into being an artist by way of sharing both illuminated, graphic doodles+zen-inspired calligraphy:

I will be on that entrepreneurial adventure for life, now appreciating it as a powerful, creative path to right livelihood for my particular talents+passions.

THREE:

Hand Analysis Explosion

I did not expect to study hand reading at all.  Another beautiful surprise from the Universe :)
After a profoundly insightful hand reading with Richard Unger, I pursued my completely illogical and seemingly impractical allurement:

To celebrate my 30th birthday, I signed up to study hands as a tool for personality + soul understanding.  
I quickly fell in love with this craft and the impact it has on helping people grow their self-awareness.
I committed to do hand readings in a way that is utterly unique to my skills, gifts, passion+experience as:  

That's when things seemed to really explode :)
I adore reading hands + I adore it even more when I am embodied as a the divinely feminine sexy nerd girl I know I am :)  

As of today I have read over 100 hands+spent the Autumn / holiday season haunting a variety of wonderful events+craft fairs.  A summary of my adventures can be found here.

I already know that 2014 is going to be stark raving amazing.
Singing, creating, loving, playing, hustling, giggling, learning -- all this and more. It was so amazing that I found myself overwhelmed, sending me into a brief+short hermitage last week just so I could bloom the trust+clarity to bloom my yummy visioning.  It is a good reminder for me to ...
