Hello lovelies!
I hope this email finds you so well and warm, enjoying the gorgeous summer evenings! Since you heard from me in April I have been:
- Finishing up school! I am delighted to report that I have finished my Cranial Sacral Therapy Certificate program from Langara College. I have 125 hours of practice completed and am excited as all heck to begin my small, home-based practice called Hello Stillpoint! I have been working on website and will launch all of that in by September 2013
- Packing up my house! That's right! Me, Jim and the kitties will have a new home in two weeks time. Most thrillingly, this home has a little room that I can all my own. This will be headquarters for my work, functioning as a private space for my cranial sacral therapy practice and studio for more drawing + creating. Now that school is over I hope to work in earnest on the Die Awesome Workbook.
- Exploring hand analysis, the modern incarnation of palmistry! This has been the most unexpected awesome delightful turn of events. I discovered my passion for palm reading in late June after witnessing an amazing evening of rapid-fire-spot-on hand readings done by Richard Unger, the founder of the International Institute of Hand Analysis. His precision, acerbic wit and unique approach to hand analysis as a means to understand one's life purpose deeply resonated with me. In addition, I came to realize that palm reading has been a mysterious affecting force my life, playing a huge role in my mother's reluctant escape from Vietnam to Canada and subsequently, contributing to her fear of dying early. I shared some of these experiences on my blog. You can certainly expect to hear more about this fascinating art as I continue in my training!
In my first newsletter I said you would hear from my monthly.
That's nonsense.
Monthly is too much :)
Please know you will hear some joanie-style chirping seasonally (Spring, Summer, Autumn + Winter) as I cook up adventures. If you ever need me, I'm scheming away at www.joantrinhpham.com :)
Much much love,
